Kindergartener, Alijah Gresham, was all smiles as he took second helpings of fresh greens, asparagus and strawberries for his school lunch at Waggoner Elementary. Visiting the school to learn more about the Winters Farm to School Program was Oscar Gonzales, California State Executive Director for the USDA Farm Service Agency, shown here speaking with Principal Greg Moffit and School District Food Services Director Cathy Olsen. The fresh produce and berries were purchased with funds given to the school district from the Winters Farm to School Program. Winters Farm to School raises these funds at their annual Bastille Day Feast, which will be held this year on Saturday, July 11th, at the historic Wolfskill Ranch.
