Winters Farm to School Board Members presented a check for $35,000

Winters Farm to School Board Members presented a check for $35,000 to the Winters Joint Unified School District Board of Education Members at their evening meeting on Thursday, October 20, 2016. The $35,000 was raised by Winters Farm to School (WF2S) at their 2016 Bastille Day Feast held this past July at the historic Wolfskill Ranch in Winters. The money will be used to purchase fresh, local fruits, nuts and vegetables for this year's school meal programs. With the fundraising efforts of Winters Farm to School, our school children are now eating healthy foods at school every day and learning about the positive benefits of choosing healthy foods for their long-term health and well-being.
